a floating breda

had a flash flood hit the car the other day with water coming into the car from the bottom of the door, also the blower sucked up some water into the engine - mechanic is asking me what i want to do 1. new engine 2. 2nd hand engine 3. or rebuild engine - i had only 36000km on the clock at this time and cannot turn the engine over.

Most definitely a new engine if you can. I recently had this scenario too, and my insurance covered most of it.
