Brera 3.2 Misfire
Out of the blue yesterday my 2006 Brera 3.2 started stuttering and running really poorly - my initial thoughts were that it wasn't running on all 6 cylinders.
I got home eventually and plugged in my trusty ELM lead - fault code was P0302 - Cylinder 2 Misfire Detected.
Having read a load of posts on here, I thought it was most likely a coil pack, especially having recently had the same problem on the wife's Kia. So today I removed the intake manifold (after much faffing about!) and swapped the coil pack from no.2 with one from another cylinder. I was going to look at the plug but found that my spark plug socket is far too big for it.
After rebuilding everything I get the same rough running and the same P0302 error code, thereby ruling out the coil pack (at least in my mind!).
Before I go any further I was after some advice:-
1. Is it likely to be the plug? Why would it suddenly just go wrong whilst driving normally?
2. What size of socket do I need to remove the plug?
3. Is cylinder no.2 definitely the one in the middle at the back?
4. Any idea if it could be something else unrelated to cylinder no.2, e.g. MAF or some other sensor?
As ever help would be greatly appreciated!
