Hi all. Has anyone else had this problem? My Brera will not unlock with the remote in the morning - doesn't matter whether it's icy or mild, I have to unlock using the key first, once I've done that the remote will work so I can switch off the alarm. The RCL will then work for the rest of the day. Strange.
Any help gratefully received. Thanks.
Car battery new, remote batteries should be fine. The same thing happens with both remotes and, as I said, the whole thing works for the rest of the day. It unlocks from all angles and from a good distance away.....until the next morning. Strange.
It could be a wireless doorbell alarm in a nearby house on a similar frequency. This caused a problem in the past with a partners Auris.
Wouldn't work on the drive, but fine everywhere else.
It is the same no matter where I park overnight and, as I said, once it has been opened once with the key, the remote works every time, wherever it is parked.
I have the same problem as you.
Only in the cold mornings, I can't open it from the remote control so I have to open manualy. After that, central locking works fine with the remote control. When the outside temperature is above +5 degrees i don't have any problem.
Can I just add my problem to this thread, my GT won't unlock with the remote but will with the key, central locking unlocks with key and alarm is disarmed, I changed battery in fob to no avail, car battery is fairly new. Thanks
In brera and 159 its faulty key slot (which is also remote signal receiver) you can't really fix it, only way is replacing key slot... I just replaced mine with secondhand unit (needs reprogramming)
I found a second hand ignition switch (under 100 euros) but I donțt know how to reprogramm it so it work with my keys. How did you do it? Can i make it with Fiat Ecuscan or I have to go to the Alfa dealer?
You can't do it with ecuscan and alfa service won't program second hand key slot... You need to find a place where they making keys for various cars and ask there
