Code light

Have just joined the forum. My Alfa Spider has been used very little over the winter months. Stated fine up till last week. Turned the key. Nothing. Changed Battery. The engine will now turn over but not firing. The code light is on. Tried moving steering wheel, connecting and disconnecting battery. Tried another battery. The alarm system will operate. Checked plugs and other possible issues. May be connected to " code light". Anyone any suggestions?

Many thanks

Bean, You need to get a copy of Fiat ECU scan. It will pay for its self in no time with these cars as it's comparatively cheap compared to other brands. There is a free version with limited functionality that may give you a code that leads to the problem.

I think it sounds like a 916 Spider, in which case additional column aerial twiddling is in order.
