Had my baby in yesterday, and they took a test drive in her first, they agreed she was waay short on power, took her in a disconnected the MAF and off again, there was a very slight difference.
So they change the sensor, and off again for a run, there was a good improvement, but you could still feel the engine tugging in forth under load.
On checking the part number the new MAF is from an 8v car, so they have ordered a new 16v part as there is a difference between them.
He’s also going to order a throttle sensor in case the proper MAF shows no major improvement, as this would be his next move…
At the moment I have the 8v one in and the economy is vastly improved, heading home yesterday she settled around 6.2 litres per 100Km at a steady 100KMph…
So hopefully next week when they fit the proper MAF she’ll be back to normal..
