Result on 159 problems
After all the problems Ive had with the other 159 (see my other posts), I rejected it, left it back to the dealer and told them to keep it. The dealer - Mervyn Stewart were superb about it - said that they couldn't blame me!
I told ARUK the same when their customer service dept contacted me. Also, I told them in no uncertain terms that under no circumstances would I accept the car. Also, I said if there was any debate about it, any hesitation or messing me about I was immediately beginning legal proceedings and sending an email to every car magazine in the UK. I also told them that the service from ARUK was amateurish, aloof, unprofessional and inefficient. It seems to have worked!
I got a very apologetic phonecall this afternoon from ARUK who couldn't do enough for me. As a result, they are replacing the car with a brand new one! The order for it is going in tomorrow!
