ARRGGH maybe there is no light at the end of the tunnel?
Latest update, no views from AR UK or the dealer as to when I'm going to get my car back - It's 17 weeks old they've had it for coming up to 1/3 of that time, now whilst I'm racking up the miles in one of their cars not mine I'm paying for the brera...
The alarm is still faulty - been like it from new - and the part is on backorder for 14 weeks!
The passenger seat isn't right - after 3 goes to fix it it still rattles.
The rear wiper motor wipes out the radio signal.
I've had new differentials a new gearbox and now waiting for a new flywheel/clutch thingy. Basically nothing's been fixed from day 1
Trofeo drained the gearbox without making sure there was any gearbox oil in the UK - had to wait 10 days for some to arrive!
The gearbox took a month to arrive !
The fuel economy is worse than my 156GTA ever was - on the same routes I'm getting over 5mpg less. despite alfa's figures saying the brera is better (just) than the 156GTA.. comapring quoted official economy figures in the manuals...
I'm on the verge of giving up, I've written a letter to Alfa customer services, fiat auto finance (who my PCP is with) and the dealer saying if the car is not sorted by the 15th I'm going to have to consider rejecting it, either under sale of goods or the consumer credit act (it's the finance companies problem)- as they've had every opportunity to fix it and failed.
I love the brera - but Alfa are worse than ever, so much for getting better. I use the car for business and can't afford the time spent on multitudes of trips and phone calls and the total pain in the arse that it's been persuading AR something was wrong....
Where do you think I stand, I've never had to reject a car before I don't want to this time but I may have to ????
