For fixing, it depends what the problem is, but only go to a main stealer as a last resort.
I've had lots of issues with my roof but after more than 3 years I'm finally in a position where I don't suffer from the dreaded 'roof anxiety' any longer.
Quite often it's just a matter of giving the roof a helping-hand to open and close whilst the other hand is using the electric switch.
The levers within the roof sometimes don't lock-out which causes the roof to have an inch or so gap at the end of the cycle -
just press on these manually to lock them out. and fully close the roof which will then allow the windows to fully pop back up.
For cleaning, all I use is a combination of a stiff brush, sponge & car wash liquid, and sometimes one of those sticky-tape pet-hair roller thingies for getting bits off.
