Bye, Bye 159!
Well almost 4 weeks of hassle free driving and then this morning the car was hard to start. It was sluggish and juddery when cold but this improved after the car warmed up.
On the way home in rush hour, the car stalled, all the warning lights flashed and the car refused to start. Eventually I got it going and had to crawl home (50 miles) in safe mode. It sounds and drives as though its off at least one cylinder (again). I really dont care if its a "simple electrical problem" again. Im major league annoyed and totally disappointed with the car and Alfa for selling me such an unreliable piece of crap. 4 visits to the garage in 6 months is not on- surely thats beyond teething troubles? Thats 4 days work lost and as a result an important meeting screwed up tomorrow. I'm exasperated by the car and to be honest, am seriously considering getting rid of it.
Has anyone any idea if I have any comeback to the dealer? or other legal redress? Looking at the Sale of Goods act - the car is not exactly fit for purpose.
Sorry for being so doom and gloom, but ive got to the point where I cant rely on the car any more to take me to work and the joys of driving it (when its not in the dealers!) are being quickly eroded by the continued breakdowns.
