** 159 Brakes squealing **
Just been on a road trip from Kent to South of France, mostly driving up and down the Alps, and on the 3rd day, started hearing squealing noise first from the left side and later from the right side **WHEN TURNING** only. On a straight line there is no noise but as soon as I even slightly turn the steering, especially turning left, but also on the right albeit less pronounced, I hear the noise which stops immediately when I "touch the brakes". Sounds like brake pads/discs are the culprit?
Drove back to UK without any issues apart from the noise, brakes work fine.
Both sets of front and rear discs/pads are fairly new - about 6 to 10 months old.
As the noise is from both sides, I am sceptical if its a faulty pad/disc. Could the driving and lots of braking on the Alps going downhill for long durations caused the issue?
Any ideas what these symptoms point towards?
Thanks in advance.
