And the final outcome was..... Apparently the dual mass flywheel had decided to come apart, the concentric bearing was then bobbling around and the subsequent 'party' in the transmission knackered the clutch plate. Warranty company wanted Alfa parts used and as such the bill came to in excess of £2,200. I think the supplying dealer is going to get a call today as I have only had the car six weeks and have spent the best part of £3,000 sorting most things that should have been picked up in their pre sale inspection . Thank you V......s for proving that the reputation you have is correct. And to top it off I asked whether the brakes were OK and was told yes. I've just had the car up on a ramp and they are borderline dangerous. Sale of goods act springs to mind. Sorry for venting but I've actually had enough.
