Virgin Alfa Owner!

Well I've finally done it, I've placed an order on a first ever Italian car!

Great looking car but I must confess, I'm more than a little nervous...

...I'm concerned about Alfa reliability, service and residuals!!!

I tried the 3.2 V6 and was very impressed, great noise & road holding

I tried the 2.4 Diesel and was impressed by the economy (not by the cold noise start though, albeit this improved dramatically as the engine got warmer) and torque

So a heart or head decision.....?!?

Dealer offered me a new 2.4 Diesel SV in Black with Black/Grey leather + 18" wheels (the nice ones, not sure of their name) with a great discount, so I did the deal !!!

I collect the car on Saturday 28th October

Re: Virgin Alfa Owner!

I too took the plunge but with a Gt 18 months ago and the car has been a complete delight. The Brera takes Alfa build quality a generation further so I think you're going to be very pleasantly surprised.

Fit finish and materials quality well up to par when compared to CLK Mercs (don't know about SLs mind). And the engine's a nail - unburstable.

Worry not and allow yourself that delicious tingle of anticipation as you wait for the day which brings your new Brera.

If you're anything like the rest of us you'll wear out a few brochures in the interim

Re: Virgin Alfa Owner!

Thank you for the kind words. I can't wait to pick the car up on Saturday 28th.

I've checked through a lot of posts on this forum and asked my local Alfa dealership to double check the following known problems before collection:

(1) Light cluster(s)/fog lights misting up
(2) Drivers seat/back rest movement
(3) Recall update (I think central locking?)

I hope I've captured most of the known issues?

Quick question I haven't managed to establish the answer to......does the front loading CD player (non Bose) support MP3?
