As we have discussed before the 3.2 makes all its power at almost maximum revs, this leaves absolutly nothing left to play with once you finally get your magic 348-352Bhp as you have to change gear, what does it produce at 4500 rpm once you've changed down from the max bhp red line. Thats before we take the torque of the 3.2 in to consideration it being a mild 317lbft, 17 lbft over a standard 2.4, so comparing it to say Clogz you are lacking over 200 lbft of real grunt. Even you cant say that does not matter but no doubt you will.
We make big numbers half way through our rev range and see little drop off to the rev limit. This means we have a lot more usable power over 2000 rpm, not for a 200-300 rpm bouncing it off the rev limiter.
You always argue that torque is not important, really ! You drive a Tbi that's torque your feeling when you put your foot down not Bhp.
That's it I'm done ! Crack on.
