Brera/159 metal under tray/engine guard DIY Build

So I have seen this online:

Alfa Romeo Shop - Tuning, Styling, Fanartikel und Modellautos - Alfa 147 Aluminium Motor-Schutzabdeckung Aluminium Motor-Schutzabdeckung 32610-32613

Cant find one for the Brera or 159. I would like one as my under tray like many others hangs down and sometimes catches.

Does anyone on here know a friend or a friend etc that could make these? Gauge interest for a group buy maybe? Anyone keen or am I on my own?

Dan

I made my own, but if you don't fancy DIY, just pay a metal fabricator to make you one

if you get time and feel generous you could make a template with holes positions for the others that would like to do the same

I thought about that but who would I do it? I mean you cant exactly print it off? unless you have an A1 printer?

I really think the easiest thing to do is just get some sheet metal and draw around you old sump guard. Least you know it will fit. Ill do a guide too just to add any extra info.

Also - why is this not in the stickies?

So bit of an update.

Bought the material to do it, went for metal coated plastic rather than aluminium as its much cheaper and easier to work with.

Cutting was easy, fitting easy, just need some fine tuning now.

I bought one of these, but it is a fairly poor replacement for the OEM version, I didn't end of bothering to fit it on the advice of my mechanic. The fit is fine, but the quality/standard is not the same. Obvious enough from the price I guess!

Danman- I just wondered how you got on with the undertray you made- looked like a good project.
Was the material strong enough?

Thanks

Anyone with any undertray stories (especially DIY jobs) I'd still be very interested to know. Mine really does wind me up!
