Advise on changing from standard calipers to Brembo 2.2JTS

The Discs and pads on my Brera are due for a change soon and i was thinking while changing the brakes i wouldnt mind upgrading to Brembo Calipers aswell, more for the look of them if anything.

Does anyone know what i will need apart from the calipers themselves? i.e will i need new hubs?
I know there are two different sizes of discs for the brembos, but it seems there are more calipers from the Diesel 159/breras up for sale so ill probably go for them if possible

My car is a Brera 2.2 JTS with standard (non-brembo) calipers atm.

If you want to add Brembo to non Brembo car you need the uprights from a Brembo vehicle as the have different caliper lug mounts on them.

Once you got the upright sorted you have the option of going for the 305mm from the later JTS and JTD 1.9s or the 330s from one of the TI and larger diesel cars.

Whether the cost is worth the benefit or not is up to you.

If you want my opinion, having had both since new, the brembos are not as sharp or powerful as the single piston caliper set up on these cars.

Unless you want the look, or live in the Alps, I wouldn't bother.

What you want is a set of these

Combine them with fresh fluid, good quality standard discs and something like carbon Lorraine pads and your laughing!!

My car has brembo (406v6 coupe) and I wouldn't go out of my way to get another car with them on, surprisingly I find the standard brakes on my 156 2.4 20v to be ok, though I am running those hoses, decent fluid etc
