I guess (assuming it is the same fault) that last time the valve stuck open whereas this time it is (mostly) shut.
What you describe is exactly how mine behaved all 3 times it did it! The first 2 weren't too bad, as I was only 3-4 miles from home, within 30 or 40 mph limits, so it wasn't too much of a struggle to limp the car home.
The 3rd, (and final!), time however was on a busy dual carriageway just outside Shrewsbury. I was doing approx 80mph in the outside lane, (passing slow moving trucks in the inside), the power went immediately, I was forced to try and get in to the inside lane asap, and had to crawl along at 45mph for another 3 miles before I could pull off as there was no hard shoulder.
I not ashamed to say I c**ped myself
, (not quite literally, but it was close!!!)
It was a very frightening experience and one I didn't want to ever repeat, hence the phone call to reject the car, I just didn't trust it anymore
On a brighter note I should have the lovely new silver bella by Wednesday next week, I'll try to remember to take photo's this time before she gets dirty!!!
