When warm and idling it needs to run smooth. If lumpy and missing slightly the inlet manifold and possibly exhaust valves are gunked up. Quite common, pretty expensive fix.
Pulling away should be smooth, if it has a big flat spot then Egr is probably sticking.
Check turbo gauge spools and holds boost on full throttle. Check for damp carpets, door liners and scuttle drains can fail /block respectively.
If you can get underneath or even close to, check subframe and trailing arms for dreaded rust!!
Front tyre inner edge wear is normal and very bad if using factory tracking set up (easy fix).
Plus the usual car checks for knocking etc etc.
Don't be out off by above tho. If you get a good one, and most are, they are cracking to look at and to drive
