There are plenty of places to go for gearbox repairs,
Sounds like yours is still running for now, but I'd get it fixed sooner rather than later.
Mine failed at around 70k and I had a quick and dirty fix done (I took it out, and had it patched up at a gearbox centre for £350 (IIRC), then I refitted it) it failed again less than 10k later and I had it fixed at my local Indi, that cost me another £1900 with clutch/flywheel/etc)
don't hang on till it fails, £900 of my second repair was just having the box fixed, these things are made of cheese, if it's noisy now it will fail soon, there is no possibility of it being Ok.
Find an Independent and fork out around £2k it'll buy you at least that much piece of mind.
If you can hear it now then it's too late to sell it and hope the buyer doesn't notice so one way or another you are going to be hit with a big bill.
(Sorry but there is no good news when 5th-6th start to fail)
