bulb failure warning
Noticed one of the nearside twin tail lamps (the boot one) was out yesterday but had no bulb warning message on the dash.
To check the message indicator I also took the working bulb out of the nearside (in the wing) and got the warning ok.
It seems you only get a bulb failure warning if they are both blown on one side: is this correct: seems a little odd but its exactly the same on the other side.
As part of the messing around I found the tail lamps in the boot are actually twin filament bulbs just the same as the wing mounted bulbs but the brake lights only operate the wing bulbs. Don't think this is a fault as there is only one contact in the boot light fitting but worth noting if they have to be changed.
