Considering driving abroad for the first time!
Me and the other half were talking holidays the other day and we both fancy going to Italy in the Summer, and I suggested possibly driving and camping, so we can stay in a few different places and be in control of our own destiny, as it were.
Well, I am 21 and frankly have never driven abroad and was hoping to get some advice off of you guys on some tips for driving abroad, no matter how trivial.
I am not too concerned about physically driving abroad, I have driven a LHD LGV through London at rush hour on a Friday before and never hit anything and I don't think anything will be as challenging as that.
Its more the prep side of things. We are initially heading over on the Channel Tunnel and down to Lake Garda, so any advice/hints on routes are more than welcome, particularly any good driving routes in the area!
She (The car!) is having the cambelt changed in February as well as service, and MOT to follow in May so will most likely drop the oil again in August before we go as well any other maintenance buts you guys can recommend. We intend to cover about 2500-3000 miles in total.
