159 reversing sensor

My Alfa dealer tells me that the offside reversing sensor is faulty but I'm not impressed by the 350 they want to replace it. I'm told I should take the bumper off but I don't want to do that if I can help it particularly as I have a tow bar in the way. I have a new sensor and I can reach the old one from underneath but can't see it.
Can anyone tell me how it's fixed to the bumper? I can feel a cable tie around the unit does that have anything to do with keeping it in place?
If anyone has a picture of it in place that would help a lot.

I would be surprised if what you are feeling is the parking sensor. When I changed mine I had to remove the bumper as the sensors sit in a recess in the bumper support.
The sensors are held in place by three clips moulded in to the bumper. The wiring loom and plug for the sensors can be seen under the rear bumper.

If you find a way without removing the bumper let us know as I've another sensor that now need changing.
