Ok guys 'n' gals, I have managed to nurse my old battery through a winter and a summer, but now the fresh cold is killing me! I have finally admitted to myself that I should buy a new battery.
Does anyone know the best one to go for?
The stock battery is 317x175x190mm (LxWxH), rated at 90Ah & 440CCA, and manufactured by Exide.
I want a much improved battery as my car sucks more juice than the average bear.
Replacements candidates for me are:

There is a big cost difference, but the Bosch is built for heavy/rapid duty cycles so its where the extra cost comes from and would only benefit my power hungry beast!
I know a lot of people went for the Bosch S5, so does anyone have any experience to share before I fork out a chunk of change?
