I could understand if they said any diesel car from the new registration in 2014 must have a DPF, but I do get the feeling that prior to that date the early DPF systems were almost a trial and error attempt so should be exempt. After all its within their power to do this as some 2.4's get tested at the 1.5 opacity limit, others 3. Its the same engine, the same car but could possibly have been built in sequence on the line but sold a day apart and be tested to differing limits.
Ned says he saw it coming. Did you see it being enforced in the way it has ? A blanket if it had one it has to have one rule ? Or in a more sensible way as I thought above ?
Feel sorry for those that have removed it as if a friends reaction to it is anything to go by, after removing the one on her Mazda 6 2 months ago, I think they'll be a lot of people really pi**ed off.
