Above -20C "cold" is not that cold if its dry inland weather and not windy. ASR/VDC to off and throw it around. Wish I had a Q4.
Towards -30 getting chilly and having cabin and engine heaters is nice, underground parking at work even nicer. Engine mounting rubbers on my 159 turn to stone occasionally and what sounds like a tractor starts to _really_ feel like it too. Getting worried about battery and glow plugs. Still possible to go somewhere where electricity may not be available and most likely able to get back alive without assistance.
Every winter ever here in middle -ish Finland there is a week or two of pretty much constant around -35C. Just need to make sure diesel is winter or arctic -grade, otherwise not going anywhere not anyhow. I've driven my ex 156 2.0JTS and current 159 2.4 on those kind of temperatures. Not pleasant but you get there usually if the doors open and bother to stay closed.
