Upper Wishbone Bolt Question
question, regarding the above.
I'm changing the upper wishbone(s) at the moment and aim to sort them over the coming days.
I've already looked at the job and cracked the bolts off to see if it would even be possible for me to get them undone on the drive. As suspected they were torqued up to the f-ing tight setting.
I got them cracked and could undo them easily enough but I was curious about the captive nut on the other side before I get the bolt completely out and lost it.
as I got it maybe 10mm or so undone there was a few degrees play in the bolt either way although there was no way I was undoing it with my fingers at that stage. If I continued with my spanner I could tighten / loosen it no problem.
My fear is that I undo the bolt, the captive nut drops off and I've got no hope in hell of getting the arm back on.
Anyone know what the deal is and if this is possible or am I safe to attempt it and happy that I won't be losing my nut!
