Help Italia Independent touch up pen and general care?

Hey guys,

Just wondered if anyone has an Independent with the matte paint and know if there is an Alfa touch up pen available?

Also how to deal with light scratches and what are the correct 'products' to use on this car for washing etc.

I think you've just discovered the major drawback of this type of paint finish....

I think you are unable to touch it up like a normal / metallic finish and have a feeling 8c red might have the same problem as well?

Right, I wasn't sure if there were any current owners out there who could comment by experience. Let's face it, touch up never looks that great but it just helps to hide some of the obvious stone chips etc.

However with this paint it's probably best just to live with fine scratches etc. and not attempt to do anything? Serious marks or scratches would have to be dealt with at a bodyshop. I called my local coachworks company and they were not phased by this, seems that they have worked on this kind of finish before.

Hi Axl...

I have an ii purchased from new, luckily no requirement for a 'Touch-Up Pen' yet!

When in traffic, leave a bigger gap to the car in front, minimises stone damage!
