clean those tmap sensors diesel 2.4
hi All just cleaned my tmap sensor, was covered in crap could not see the brassy coloured sensor in the middle. so it could not have been function correctly. Its situated at the back of the engine on top not hard to find. you will need a t30 torq bit to undo the 1 bolt that holds it in plc. the electrical connectors are well designed pull the yellow tag to allow another
clip to be pushd down then the connector can be pulled out, your see what i mean when you see it. once removed from the car i sprayed mine in thinners and then soaked in white spirit a couple of times (part number is 0281 002 437'''' BOSCH ) IF YOU look straight down in side the basket with a tourch you see a half moon hole ,MAKE SURE that is clear thats how the pressure is measures. tmap sensor temperature and pressure sensor all in one.
then replace it when dryed and blowed out in the sun. car started fine just have to see if that improves mpg at all, it should as the corrcet temp and pressure is now being read in the inlet manifold. my last 200 miles got 8 miles per ltr. sorry bout poor photos , see how it goes now
