Replacing a worn rear hub bush

Whats the best way to replace a rear hub bush?

My recent service flagged up an off side worn rear rear hub bush. I havent approached an indy yet about doing it but I showed Halfords the service sheet (so that they can do the broken spring under warranty), and they decided to quote me for all the issues flagged up on the service, one of them being the rear bush, and they said both trailing arms need replacing at nearly 500.

Does the whole trailing arm need replacing and should both sides be done at the same time?
