how you getting along with the hydrographics stuff Ferret-Ears?
I've started my dash now - I've got the wheel trim, two console parts and two dash parts to do. I will have to worry about the door trims another time.
My donor vehicle was a Brera where as I own a 159, so these parts weren't available from the donor.
Donor vehicle previous owner painted the parts black (badly!), so you will see from pics I had to strip it right back to the bare metal finish (factory brushed metal).
I've just got as far as etch primering the parts (etch as it is metal) however I need to high build primer the console parts also - which means I will have to high build everything for an even colour. High build is because there are a lot of tiny, tiny dings in the surface where the donor owner had a big ass set of keys swinging around by the looks of it.
Bit I am struggling with most is what effect I do the dash. Do I go carbon fibre, do I go brushed metal, do I pick something completely random altogether.
Even if I do go carbon fibre, what colour carbon fibre would I go for, as you can get black, silver, gold, white, blue, red... options is endless.
Edit: There is a really good facebook group called Hydrographics Help Group (average joes to big money pros) which you may find are a lot of help!
