This thread seems to fizzled out now so hi-jacking it will hopefully not cause any problems.
Like you, I bought a 2.2 Brera SV in 2006, although mine has done slightly fewer miles at 32,000.
Like you, I had a difficult decision on which of two vehicles to keep, my Brera or my wife's 2008 2.2 Spider. One had to go as something more practical was needed. The Spider went as I personally never felt that comfortable driving it with the roof down. I now wish I'd kept it as the p/x was rubbish and it was one good looking car and the pair sat on the drive together looked pretty impressive.
I would just like to ask what issues, other than general wear and tear, you have had with your Brera now that it has achieved such a mature mileage.
Mine had to have a new fuel pump at 4,000 miles, the over active alarm which was a common fault on early models, the wiper arm rubbing on the bonnet lid and the old front tyre wear problem. I then had a leaking roof and failed window switches on the driver's side. On its last MOT in June it failed (first time it has not passed with flying colours) with three broken springs and following an advisory I had the track rod ends replaced, I have also just had the front subframe treated in an attempt to fight off corrosion.
Quite a catalogue but nothing I would call major and I still love it and now plan to keep it forever?
Just wondered what your experience had been?
