Rattling Gear Knob!
Right, well all know the 159 gearbox is a bit clunky, I don't know if mine is worse than anybody else's or not.
However, the issue is amplified a thousand times by the fact I have a rattley gear knob.
I didn't notice it when I first bought the car 18 months ago but over the past 6 months or so it has really frustrated me. The car can be in gear, the stick itself is firmly in position but the knob itself moves both up and down and left and right a bit. It doesn't effect the car in any way its just frustrating, you want it to feel firm and well built don't you?
So, I am thinking of replacing it, maybe its just worn down over time and there is a bit of space that it moves about in inside.
Any one have any ideas of how to remove it? I've had a look and can't really work it out! The only over car I have removed one off was a 2004 Renault Megane and that was held together by a hair bobble and an elastic band!
