I sold my 3.0 166 about 18 months ago, and bought my current 525d because I was doing starship miles and the Alfa was crippling me.
I convinced myself that cars should be appliances, tools to do a job. Soul was an unecessary luxury in a car says me. In addition, I convinced myself that my motorbike should be the emotional purchase - backed up (hopefully soon) by a nice classic sports car of sorts, maybe a 1750GTV.
This has worked pretty well for the last year and a half. The BMW has ticked all the sensible tool boxes, and I have only recently even considered looking around for something else.
Then, it all goes horribly wrong. I took my daughter down to the Bristol Italian car day to look at the classics and the bikes and just could not avoid the 159 Sportwagon they had. What a gorgeous, lustful looking car. Absolutely stunning, and I want one now.
Alfa, you are tearing at my heartstrings and my credit cards again. I am not happy
There is no cure for the Alfa virus, is there?
