Right so just brought my beloved 159ti back from a genuine dealer. purchased from a non-Alfa second hand car sales.
Just to clarify it's a 159 2.4 Ti Diesel (210BHP), there are no aftermarket modifications, so DPF is still there and EGR hasn't been blanked.
Basically I brought it up for them to have a look at and tell me what is wrong with it, as it is not shifting the way it should, I was made ever more aware of this when I was beside another 2.4 Ti on my way home!
So basically this is what I need, so if anyone can help, it'd be appreciated:
Passenger front door window regulator (not massively important but do want it fixed)
Front pads and discs
replacement EGR valve, I did give this a clean about a month ago, however it's apparently sticking
replacement inlet manifold, from what I can tell, the swirl flaps are sticking because the EGR is also sticking, meaning I'm not getting my full power delivery (this could be avoided if a new EGR is fitted), current inlet manifold does need cleaned though
Basically for all these parts + labour + VAT, they want to charge me £1903.27
Which isn't gonna happen as I can do most (if not all) oif this work myself, or with a little guidance.
There's a few other niggles that I can sort out myself too eg: whistle coming from passenger side front door, new tyres also needed
So plenty of work to be done!
Any help, will be greatly received!
