Adjusting washer jets on a 159
Hello. I've had my 159 Lusso for a few days now and so far, so good. It's already humbled a sausage muncher or two on the Queen's highway.
It's a Carbonio Black one and lived in the country so it has the usual stone chips on the bonnet and rear arches that I've seen discussed on here and the interior befitted life on a farm but a thorough valet has tidied it up no end - and I've had the belt/pump changed by the independent Alfa specialist in Catford who's told me that it's a pretty good example for the sub five grand I paid for it.
Anyway - as I've been fettling away my attention turned to the washers that aim water at the rear window rather than the front; they're that far out of adjustment. I quickly discovered the old fashioned "adjust with a pin" method doesn't work so I took out the jet assemblies by removing the blanking panels at the rear of the bonnet and it looks like there's no adjustment available? I refitted them properly after cleaning and they're sitting flush with the panel but still they aim water over the roof.
I suppose one of the reasons I bought an Alfa was because I like a challenge, but this one has me stumped. Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance.
