Snow chains and Wintersport

Hi 159 owners out there, some of you may be considering taking your car to your holiday destination in the Alps this winter. If you have the 18 inch alloys (235R1840), there is really not a lot of room left in the wheel arch and you may have been missing out on that great Alpine road trip with the amazing views and snow packed villages all 'round, thinking no way you could fit snow chains at all. Well you can.

Annoyingly you may not even need snow chains in practice. However they are legal requirement to have with you all over the Alps, when conditions demand it.

I hope a world of opportunity has just opened up to you :-) as I spent considerable time sourcing snow chains that would fit the standard Alfa 159 18" wheel upgrade. The specialist Maggi Tracks were not imported or available in the UK at that time (2007), they were extremely rare and very costly. However they enabled three seasons of family fun.

They can now be had at a fraction of that cost as I would like to clear them from the loft. They are assembled for the 235R1840 tire/alloy and ready to go. Used just once over a short distance, they worked brilliantly. They are complete in the original packaging. Help me get rid of them, stuff the overpriced flights to the Alps and enjoy your drive!
