Re: 159 2.4 mjet review
Guys, you should face it, alfas are designed to look good and drive nice. They are not designed to be practical or efficient in fuel or oil consumption.
9.6l/100km for a 2.4 liter is way too much for such a light car as 159. In comparison:
My dad's range rover (3L engine with 3 metric tons in weight) consumed 11.6 l/100km, which is an average when we drove from Warsaw (Poland) to Ischgl (Austria). The motorway/autoban driving speed in excess of 160km/h or 100miles/h.
My audi A6 1.8T average consumption of 36m/g going from Bristol to London city and back, which includes heavy traffic.
So, if you think of it in terms of economy, alfas are cheap to buy; buy after you buy it, you spend so much money maintaining it in services, petrol, engine replacements in some cases, and in the end of 3-4 years you sell it for pennies. Oh well...???!!!
