DPF & EGR removal, no remap..the dongle (5,000 mile report)
Literally All the dongle does is delete a fault code that appears when the ecu detects an engine blank, when it detects this for the second time it gives an emL. It does not change the running of the engine in any respect to the EGR.
You can still run fine with a blanking plate (will just have an engine light).
The restrictor plate allows enough air through that the engine thinks the EGR is working normally. So no emL.
It reduces significantly all the issues, but does not get rid of them, the EGR can still fail open, the manifold will still soot up, your turbo will still lag...just not as badly as before.
It's the minimum you should do for your engine!
Also note as above, the dongles are in very short supply, fixitsan appears to have stopped making them, and unless someone is willing to start making them themselves (he released the instructions publicly) then your best bet is the likes of Autolusso, where they can map it out for you (speak to NED).
Any spelling/ grammatical errors are purely there to annoy!
