Thanks everyone! I'm glad you're all liking it
Keep your criticisms and ideas coming!
I appreciate them all!
Can I ask who you used to paint the car.
Was there a reason why did you not paint the rear parking sensors.
I used Runcorn Motor Bodies, they're top professionals. Give me a full tour of the bodyshop when I went in for a quote. Top marque aston martins there too which speaks volumes!
He told me he painted the reversing sensors yellow, and they began to play up, beeping all the time. Weirdly, I actually prefer them black once I'd seen them. It breaks up what would be a solid block of yellow!
I like it! The only thing I will say is that in the first picture the 'dirty' alloys look stunning. Maybe get them powder coated into a graphite-ish finish to finish off the look?
I've toyed with different ideas for the wheels, black, silver, anthracite, white etc. I think the wheels need attention, but I'm feeling a brighter silver colour would look "cleaner" somehow and fit in well with the standard chrome trim and aluminium mirrors.
Congratulations, that's one stunning motor
For me, 19'' 10-spoke alloys would complete it perfectly, and in silver,
no dirty greys on a car this eye catching, provided they're washed at least once a week
I agree with you here! I think the TI alloys would suit the car a treat! This is potential mod for the future. I've just spent close to Ģ800 on the Ultrac Sessanta design guigaro tyres though, so I can't justify getting new alloys just yet
I'm really keen on the style of these wheels! They're very traditional alfa, but sadly just not big enough in my opinion
I really like that. The colour suits the car perfectly and really does look OEM. If I had one small criticism it would be with the rear plastic trim below the bumper. I think this should have been kept natural which imo would have made it even more factory looking. Stunning job all the same. Well done for having the cahunas for doing it.
I agree with you here! I had asked the bodyshop to paint the lower trim gloss black, but he must have forgotten. It's going back next week for a few niggles and blemishes to be sorted. He's offered to paint it black for me while it's there, but to be honest it's beginning to grow on me, it's different, makes the car look like it sits lower and potentially looks that bit cleaner. So I'm tempted to leave it
