No disrespect intended but what a load of b******* and there's that word again...cheapskate. Yet again it's the same stuck up snobs on this forum having a go at the guys that can't afford 250 quid per corner. Some people have to budget, we don't have the luxury of 3 or 4 cars on our drive, or an all singing all dancing tuned up alfa. FYI all tyres sold in the EU have to meet a standard, how can anyone sane lose the rear end of a fwd in the rain unless they're driving like an absolute idiot.
Boring! Heard it all before
Mine is purely down to common sense and safety.
Yes money is a factor,so I very really go for the best ,but if I can get a deal I will.
But buying the cheapest tyres to keep your car on the road seems to me to be taking unnecessary risks.
You can class bash all you like, but I have worked hard all my life and never claimed even when I was up against it.
I dont expect handouts from anyone
If I cant afford to buy something then i save till i can and i certainly don't stick it on a card .
But I do know that some budget tyres are less safer than other's and comes from personal experience, research and friends in the trade.
If you want to take the gamble, when lives could be at stake that's up to you!
And its not about speed its about grip when its wet!
And clearly at 250 a corner your being ripped off or live in an expensive area!
My Wife has just had 4 new Bridgestones fitted all in for 318!
