Audio unit removal

Hello All,

Hopefully someone will be able to help.

I have a Brera with a sat nav system.
I would like to add the facility to the sat nav system which will allow me to play an ipod.
I've found an add on part from an audio shop, it plugs in the CD plug in point for the boot mounted player.
To fit it I need to remove the sat nav, for which I need the two keys that push into the holes in the system.
My local Alfa dealer say that the keys are not sold to the public, for security reasons, they will gladly remove it for me at a cost of 20 +VAT. Cheeky B****ds.

Does anyone know where I can get the keys from, or an alternative tool?

Brera 3.2 OEM+

Lol, ridiculous Alfa bull.... Bought the keys last week for 1.99 off ebay. Work a treat. Had my head unit out as I am also about to buy an Ipod adaptor.

Cut 2 x 12" sections from metal coat hangers. bend to 90 degrees 1.5" either side from the centre to make a U shape. job done.

No, no ,no !

The sat Nav is different and what you need is two lengths of M3 about 200mm long with 50mm bent over at a right angle to form a handle.

You then screw them into the two holes on either side at the top front face of the unit, this then screws in two catches which secure the unit. Then just pull it out as normal
