Very relieved to read that's intentionally in a MX-5 shell!!
Pleased to see development continuing though. I for one am excited about this. The MX-5 has been a technically good car for a long time (much praise from Top Gear too), so to combine that with Alfas looks, I think it's really exciting.
My Brera is maintaining the old alfa stereotypes of rust and dodgy electronics though - both of my subframes are corroded (it's a 07 plate), many of the nuts behind my slam panel are rusty, I've had to kurust and hammerite the slam panel itself, I've had to replace the oil temp sensor, a rear parking sensor and my rear wiper washer only seems to work when it fancies it. I'm happy to deal with those issues because I love it so much, but I would prefer it if I didn't!
