The ecu sets a max boost pressure, around 1.5-1.7, otherwise it can cause damage. When you hit thiss, the ECU simply reduces the amount of fuel to the cylinders.
When I deleted my DPF, was finding it up the top for longer (as the turbo could spool up quicker and less back pressure), within days the ECU learnt this, and now operates as it did before, dropping off slightly.
I take it you mean it drops by about 0.2 bar. If it drops loads with your foot on the accelerator, then you have an issue.
