A good push on the passenger side leaver on the inside of the hood has released the lock on that side (the sticking point), and so the electrics can now open & close the roof.
Provided I do this every time (and in reverse to close and lock) it might well be ok.
It has slowed down the electric closing procedure though - I've got to give the roof a bit of help by hand to move at certain points. It's making all the right noises just struggling a bit at times
Hydraulic fluid is fine. This issue didn't exist prior to messing with the leaver and manual boot lock but I've checked everything but to no avail.
If anyone else has experienced a slow moving roof, I'd be interested to hear how you're managing.
At least I've been able to enjoy some top-down motoring for once
