Alfa 159 Ti

159 Ti 1.9 vs 159 Ti 2.0

Anyone got any views on if the newer 2.0 159s are any better than the older 1.9 Tis?

I have a 4 year old 1.9 TI with 59000 miles which I have had from new and I will be looking to change it in the next 12 months or so. So a newish, low mileage 2.0 TI, possibly Sportwagon will be high on the shopping list. I still cant get excited about the equivalent BMW or Audi. Not old enough yet for a Merc.

But is the 2.0 version better to go for or a low mileage 1.9 ?

Still waiting for the Gulia but I'll be old and grey when that finally comes out.

The 2.0 is the better engine, also has the M40 gearbox, which is less likely to give issues (and can handle a map better), as well as a newer design DPF
