159 hazards lights and braking...

hey guys quick question...

my 159 2.4 ti q4, when under heavy breaking...the hazard lights kick in. now is this a problem, or a safety thing to let those behind you that you really have the anchors on? and if its a safety thing can it be switched off?

Been covered a few times before (search function will bring it up). Can't be switched off, comes on when brake assist is activated as a safety function:








159 1.9JTDM Ti and Giulietta 2.0 Veloce

On Ford can you unprogram it, not sure about Alfa..but you need heavier equipment if so.
