I cleaned the MAP today with no improvement.
My next actions are...
1. Reset ECU
2. Replace water temp sensor - I did receive a related fault code a few weeks back. Apparently this could be sending false information to the ECU creating a cold air/fuel mix.
1&2 can be done at the same time as the battery tray needs removing to access thermostat. £10 part and 40 min DIY job (apparently).
If that doesn't work I'll have to look at injectors. I hope this isn't the case as I need to recoup money after my EGR & Manifold replacement.
That's why we need to be sure otherwise you could replace everything just like those dealers and those bad mechanics do. I can replace the EGR, MAP, MAF myself too but I don't wanna replace things I'm not sure off but it seems you have to go through it to find the real problem.
I not have warrenty and I already had to replace my steeringhouse 800€, the only problem I have now is the rough idle and mybe my fuel consumption is too high too.
I hope you can find the problem and I wish all ppl who had same problems and getting it fixed tell how they get rid of the rough idle but I read through the forum and see it also got back after a while, that's why I say mybe is just an Alfa problem and we have to live with it, but having a rough idle can't be that good that engine has to run smoothly stationary...
things to check are:
I hope it isn't one of these bcz they are the things, that brings my hairs on my back straight bcz of the money...
Injectors pretty expensive (my mechanic said it wasn't one of these, I hope so)
air manifold but that means replacing whole that **** .
It's pretty expensive to look for yourself but I rad stories here the dealer and even your regular mechanic shop behind the corner, don't have a straight answer themself and just replacing one part after another..........
Anyway I'm pretty curious you can find your problem on your car and can fix it for cheap.
Goodluck man (and myself) !!!
