2.4ti 210 159 engine temperature gauge issues
Hi, can anyone help?
The temperature gauge on my 159 is behaving really strangely. It has always read 90 when warmed up. Now after running on the motorway for a few miles it will often jump up between 90 and 130 and even occasionally bring up the engine overheating warning on the dash board.
It doesn't appear that the engine is actually overheating as it just jumps all over the place and far to fast to actually be a change in engine temperature.
So from what I 've seen on other threads (never this engine though) it is probably a bad sensor or or the wiring to the gauge and can also be horribly expensive to sort out.
Does anyone know more about this issue?
Where the gauge is located on this engine?
And how big a job to change it is?
Anyone who has fixed this before and can give me a cost to fix it?
Thanks in advance for your help.
