problems with mangoletsi
I bought a 159ti from mangolesti,s just before new year.
after the test drive I noticed a few issues main one being the power steering fluid level very low.
yes it will be checked over and any problem sorted was there reply.
after collecting the car on new years eve on the drive back down the m6 I noticed it had a massive flat spot just off tick over.
new years day I pop the bonnet and to my surprise the power steering level is still way below the level.
knowing the flat spot will be more than likely the egr I wasn't to worried.
but the steering I was, so I toped it up.
on my first night drive the drivers side headlight I noticed was bouncing just like the reflector was loose.
so after new year I contacted mangoletsi with the faults yes we can get it booked in, not a problem I thought, il leave it in there capable hands and ill just enjoy the car,
that's when I noticed the steering was getting noisy, level was ok.
so after a while and a phone call to remind them they were 2 days late on collecting the car it was picked up.
a day later the car reappeared my mrs rang me[I work abroad] the cars back they have done the flat spot but they say theres nothing wrong with the steering.
but I can hear the noise, straight on the phone well we can have another look,
yes there is a problem we have changed the reservoir the filter had collapsed, ok great we have got there I think.
upon my return I jump in the car now the steering feels notchy on tick over, ok so off on a run around going down the motorway I can hear the hydraulic tappets rattling the going quite then back in again, not a problem its still under warranty, so another trip to mangoletsi and book the car in again.
so a few days ago they collect the car and a phone call from the mrs they have rang theres nothing wrong with the steering and the tappets are fine.
on the phone again theres no fault found on the steering I get told.
well if this is normal on the ti why not say try any in our garage and there all the same.
nope I just get a reply of no theres nothing wrong.
but there was last time you changed the reservoir,
yes but it wasn't at fault this was just to keep you happy,
so why did your mechanic and the service manager tell my mrs the resovoir was at fault.
whos lying to me?
what about the tappets no fault found but I can hear them I said.
we cant so no fault found.
is this normal service from mangoletsi??
oh and id best put you in the picture I am a mechanic with well over 25yrs experience so I know when I can hear a fault.
