Another V6 Brera here - I'm in Caterham, Surrey (so fairly close) and I only see a Brera or new Spider about once every 2 months! Look out for my reg DSV / / 07734956100 although you may hear me before you see me

You know, I have never once been waved or flashed!

Spotted a nice red Brera spider this morning about 8 am. It was on the road between Headcorn and Staplehurst. Is it anyone on here? It is only the second Brera I've ever seen around here.

I've noticed from a few posts lately, you're really not too keen on 159's ey especially black ones it appears. We must be right boring buggers all us who have played safe with understated black cars. Fortunately I never get bored of seeing Alfas out and about and I'd even wave to someone in a 'look at me' blue Brera with substandard wheels, but that would be an unlikely occurrence because probably only one person ever ordered one.

Got to side with AlfabreraNew on this one.
It surprises me just how many 159s were sold in black & grey.
For such a beautifully designed & detailed car it really does warrant a vibrant colour rather than the dark colours and 'grey' that are prevalent.
Leave that for the boring German boxes.
It would have to be Alfa Red if I was getting one. Show-off that great Italian design .

Yeh, bit of a pop, but only a friendly pop, I do like the brighter cars, it's just I keep mine for a long time so I always go black so i won't get bored. Would've loved a red SW with 8C wheels on and the 8C wheels do make Breras look super special.
Let's not get carried away tho, Alfas are not common cars.

Waving is a bit daft unless you live in the middle of nowhere or don't get out much.
Mitos, Gs and 159s are seen daily in my part of the world, it'd be crazy to wave at every one.
The Spider and Brera are hardly ever seen., I might flash my lights at a fellow 939 Spider, but I'd probably be too late with the shock of actually seeing another one

No, fixed headlining, but seeing as it's 'sunny' Cornwall lol figured no point in changing as it would always be closed. Think it was an option on the S not standard.

I wave at pretty much every Alfa I see, whatever the model, colour, age.
My 159 is black - I chose it over red, as I think it looks better, but thats just my taste (and I'm an ageing Goth ). I think it is interesting just how different the lines and proportions of the same model can look in all the different colours. Having said that, saw a gorgeous red 159 in Dundee at the weekend and almost had second thoughts about mine...

Life would be dull indeed if we all liked the same things, so vive la (colour) différence!

Don't mean to have a pop but isn't what you said plus having a black one a bit of a contradiction?

Got me bang to rights there....

But I really can't make up my mnd which I like more...and half the time it depends on the light conditions at the time. Black looks best most of the time, but the red glows more in sunlight. My wife is pretty keen on the blue too... . I think the black was a compromise in that respect.

In the meantime, I'll be sure to wave at any blue Breras I see round and about
