Think I saw a tidy black ti go past me about 5pm today, on Ainsworth Road, Radcliffe... Was one of those, "ooh an Alfa" moments but it disappeared as quickly as it appeared.

I've only seen 1 Brera of late, a blue 10 plate JTDS for sale in Sale, Manchester. Notice today as I was driving past, thinking my black one looks nicer, it's gone off the forecourt.....maybe someone on here bought it?

Spotted today on Texel island Nth Holland....this morning a fully laden Maroon coloured 159 sportwagon, then this afternoon, a stunning white Spider with the top down enjoying the brilliant sunshine, and finally, that Maroon 159 sportwagon again going in the other direction.

Had my lunchtime prawn sarnie parked up along side a silver Brera at the Little Chef services near Amesbury on the A303 today.

Sorry we didn't speak I couldn't get off the phone in time.

You ever park in a car park only to look around and notice you are sandwiched in by 2/3 of the same model of car? Did this yesterday at Tescos, got out, looked around and there where 3 mini's in the exact same paint scheme, two with the same generic black gloss wheels. Really reiterates how niche Alfas really are when it comes as a nice surprise when you see another member of the gang

If I see another Alfa in a car park I try to park close to it! A bit of an Alfa stalker!! But if in my cooper S I park as far away from other minis as I can

Haha same. I even once drove past a 159 parked on a side street, parked in front, and took a pic of both together. How sad. Where the same spec and colour though, so they where like twins.

After a week across the ditch, spotted absolutely no Breras, just a couple of 159's - 2 in Holland, 1 in Belgium and the odd 147. I'd expected to see a few more.

Looking good in the late morning sun

It wasn't me, but what on earth were you doing on Texel? Only sheep up there!

I'll be up(ish) there end of this week for a funeral near Schagen. Driving over thursday via dover-calais, and back on saturday. Quite looking forward to the trip, even if it is for a sombre occasion....

Hi Larry92. We were up there last year for just a day or so, but it wasn't long enough, so we decided to go back a day or so longer this year. Maybe being NZ'ers, it's an 'island' thing. Some great beaches and a couple of incredible shipping museums, plus out at the airport, a fantastic display and account of the allied aircraft shot down during WW2. Yes, sheep (also an NZ thing), they have their own breed of sheep, the 'Texel', what did Adam Henson say on countryfile about them a while back...."ugly, like pig with wool". Well, yes they are. Next time, we'll make an attempt to go in the summer or thereabouts. Interestingly, not much English spoken there, which in a way, makes it nicer, like a 'real' holiday.

Ahh right I see! Yeh can be pretty bleak up there in inclement weather.

I believe my dad was actually posted to that airfield, or perhaps an army base nearby, when they still had conscription in holland. I believe he spent his time ****ing of his superiors and painting fences for 18 months

Can you do a photo of just the front view of the building next time?
That's a bizarre piece of architecture!

Looks good to me.....it'd have to have at least double glazing and be insulated. Apart from the somber occasion, how was your trip ? Incidentally, is it a working Windmill?

It's only 15 years old. My uncle owns a construction company (founded by my great grandfather and initially by starting windmills). So he decided to build one from scratch but faithful to their traditional format and fully working internally etc so it does turn etc.

It was built in the style of sawmill so the large workshop area underneath the mill is a large oblong building which obviously isdevoid of sawmilling equipment and instead is the house (inclusive indoor swimming pool )

It's pretty epic :P and of course with double glazing etc and two car garage for his mercs ( I know, no class at all )

trip was good thanks, 1100 odd miles in the car and no back ache, no tiredness, only comfort and really enjoyed the drive. Got some nice comments and appreciating of the car from my cousins etc who all drive german euro-boxes

Also suddenly decided I'd quite like a Spider version with the 3.2 v6 and Q4 in manual to compliment my 159sw....but perhaps one day
